Our Story
Mangiapane Family
Villa Nunziatella Badia was born from the vision of Filippo Mangiapane who, together with his daughter Nunziatella, transformed this family property into an oasis of peace and relaxation in the heart of Western Sicily.
The name of the Villa pays homage to an ancestor, grandmother Nunziatella: the granddaughter therefore represents a symbol of family continuity and hospitality that has characterized the Mangiapane family for generations.
Located on the picturesque hill of Contrada Badiella, in Trappeto, the property extends over a lush garden of oranges and olive groves.
Villa Nunziatella Badia also owes its name to the ancient district where it is located, Badiella, which means "small Abbey". It is believed that in ancient times there was an abbey of Cistercian monks who, during the wars between Normans and Saracens around the year 1000, had colonized the territory, preceding the arrival of the Norman kings.
